Bulk Bag Unloader on Scales

Filquip designs and supplies Bulk Bag Unloaders with weighing systems to automate the bulk bag unloading process, so the correct weight of product is decanted from the screw conveyor into the next plant process.

When required, the customers plant PLC specifies the weight of product needed and the load cells on the system provide loss in weight feedback to help control the screw conveyor which meters the product from the bulk bag until the correct weight has been decanted into the tank.

Mobile Bulk Bag Unloader

Filquip with our partners design, fabricate and supply a range of Mobile Bulk Bag Unloader systems with bag splitters and integrated screw conveyor to decant to products.

The following equipment packages have been designed, supplied and commissioned:

  • Hard wearing bag splitting knife.
  • 1m3 Storage Hopper with Electric Vibrator for product flow.
  • Modular Screw Conveyor (De-mountable for transport or storage).
  • Local control panel, wired ready for use to the motors.
  • Optional Extra: Winch operated bellow with inner and outer chute for dust control.
  • Optional Extra: Integrated Dust Extractor with Fanset for dust control.
  • Optional Extra: Lump breaker for the hopper transition into the screw conveyor.

Alumina Bulk Bag Decanter with Weighing System

Filquip has designed and supplied a new Alumina Bulk Bag Decanter with weighing system to automate the bulk bag unloading process for a customer so the correct weight of product is decanted from the screw conveyor on the bulk bag decanter into a mixing tank.

When required, the plant PLC specifes the weight of alumina needed in the mixing tank. The load cells on the system provide loss in weight feedback to help control the screw conveyor which meters out the Alumina from the bulk bag until the correct weight has been decanted into the tank.

The following Filquip equipment package was provided for this system:

  • Bulk Bag Massaging System for improved product flow out of each bulk bag
  • Manual Isolation Slide Gate Valve between the bulk bag unloader and the Screw Conveyor

High Flow Bulk Bag Unloader HFF

The addition of the new SBB-HFF series of bulk bag unloaders to the Filquip range brings a new level of reliability in bulk bag decanting. Since 1969 Extract have been innovating their designs and the new High Flow Bulk Bag Unloader HFF series provide Bulk Bag Unloading using their integrated bag massaging system with control panel.

  • Available in half frame or full frame forklift loaded models, or in a integrated crane and monorail model.
  • Available in Carbon steel, Stainless steel 304 and Stainless steel 316
  • Every unit comes with Certified Bulk Bag Lifting Cross with 2000kg SWL.
  • Includes electrical vibrator, level probe point and dust collection point to ensure efficient and clean bulk bag unloading.
  • Lockable access hatch for Bag neck tie opening with option for door interlock switch
  • Available with bag splitting knives.
  • Available in 1,250mm or 1,500mm diameter cones for different sizes bag and holding requirements
