Filquip is a provider Suck and Blow Pneumatic Conveying Skids and has recently completed a trial Suck and Blow System for handling popping corn kernels.
The system utilises a Filquip Vacuum Bulk Bag Loader with a modified outlet to suit a Venturi piece for the positive pressure blowing part of the system. The trial measured bulk density of the popping corn kernels was 904kg/m3 The system conveyed 22kg in 30 seconds using the 3″ Pipe with RV02 Rotary Valve and 7.5kw Blower setup.
The system has the following features:
- Low profile design compared with other trailer mounted suck and blow systems.
- Skid mounted for ease of movement around the plant/site with a forklift.
- Fabricated Skid Frame can be mounted on a trailer.
- Integrated control panel with hopper overfill shutdown to avoid line blockages.
- Automatic Reverse Pulse Cleaned Dust Collector for the Filter Receiver to reduce maintenance and keep product out of the blower blades.
